Packaging for sanitary & ceramics Taps, ceramics and designer pieces arrive intact, with protective packaging that prevents breakage and scratches and reduces the cost of complaints.

Packaging solutions for sanitary products, fittings and ceramics

FUCHSPACK develops protective packaging for the sanitary industry: form-fitting foam packaging for ceramics and heavy fittings, minimal-contact suspension packaging for chrome-plated and polished surfaces, and airbag packaging and paper cushioning for accessories and void fill. This way washbasins, bathtubs, taps and shower enclosures reach dealers and end customers free of breakage and scratches, with less effort spent on complaints.

Bathrooms in homes and hotels have evolved into wellness and lifestyle spaces. From bathtubs and WCs to shower trays and enclosures, designer taps and handles, exquisite taste is in demand, and with it the value of every single package rises. Ceramics break, chrome scratches, glass shatters: every damaged delivery costs a replacement, a new installation date and trust.

That is why manufacturers and wholesalers are increasingly turning to professional protective packaging that reliably safeguards these values in transit. With the Big Five from FUCHSPACK, foam, air cushion and paper cushioning, suspension packaging and airbag packaging, we develop individual product protection for every sanitary product, test it in our packaging lab and match it to your packing stations.

What does the sanitary industry demand of protective packaging?

Sanitary products combine weight, fragility and sensitive surfaces, often in a single package. Typical requirements:

  • Fragile ceramics and glass Washbasins, WCs, shower enclosures and mirrors only survive impacts if they are held firmly in place and their edges are protected.
  • Chrome-plated and polished surfaces Taps, showerheads and handles get scratched by friction inside the box, and a single scratch turns a designer piece into a complaint.
  • Weight and bulk Bathtubs, whirlpool baths and ceramics are heavy and unwieldy; cushioning has to absorb point loads without laborious cutting to size.
  • Multi-stage distribution Manufacturer → wholesaler → installer or end customer: the packaging has to survive several handling stages and look good on the dealer's shelf.
  • Accessories and sets Small parts, mounting hardware and instructions need to be securely fixed in place, without wandering around the box and damaging the surface.

Which packaging solutions are suitable for sanitary products?

For sanitary products we usually combine form-fitting cushioning for weight and fragility with minimal-contact systems for the surface:

Foam packaging for ceramics and heavy fittings

INSTAPAK foam expands inside the box and forms a form-fitting bed for washbasins, WCs, tap bodies and waste fittings, edges and point loads included. Also available as moulded cushions for series production.

Suspension packaging for chrome-plated surfaces

Taps, showerheads and handles are held between film and frame and never touch the box: scratch-free, visible and reusable for returns from dealers.

Go to suspension packaging

Airbag packaging for designer pieces and accessories

Air-filled UNIQBAG bags enclose hand showers, controls and accessories with shock-absorbing protection: transparent and quick to fill.

Paper cushioning and custom boxes

For voids, sets and mixed shipments, paper cushioning systems produce the cushion at the packing station, while precisely fitting boxes keep empty space and volumetric weight to a minimum.

Frequently asked questions: packaging for Sanitary

With minimal contact: suspension packaging holds the tap between film and frame so that the surface never touches the box, while airbag packaging encloses it in an air cushion. We test both with your original product in our packaging lab.
Form-fitting foam cushions that hold the product in place and protect its edges, combined with a precisely fitting box. Movement inside the parcel is the most common cause of breakage, and we design it out.
Yes. For consistent products such as tap models or ceramic ranges we produce precisely fitting moulded foam cushions; for changing products, systems that produce the cushion directly at the packing station are the better choice.
On-site analysis, development and testing in our packaging lab, cost-benefit calculation, a trial order at your packing station, and only then the roll-out. Your ongoing shipping operation remains unaffected throughout.
